In Honor of Moms! Strawberry Mimosa

Moms work so hard for their families not only all year long, but for their entire lives. It is wonderful to be able to pay tribute to them all for one day in May!

Earlier this week, I posted a variation of the classic Italian dessert, tiramisu. Rather than the traditional coffee flavored version, I posted one featuring strawberries and Grand Marnier, a French liqueur. So, why am I talking about the recipe from Tuesday on Friday’s blog? Because this cocktail is also a combination of strawberries and Grand Marnier. With some sparkling wine, as well!

I hadn’t planned on offering two recipes in one week with the same ingredient combination, it just happened to work out that way. Grand Marnier is a unique blend of cognac and bitter orange that pairs really well with strawberries, in both desserts and cocktails. Here, a touch of honey and some sparkling wine complete the libation and makes for a lovely drink to serve to Moms this weekend!
