Mocktail Month – Grapefruit & Ginger Beer Mocktail

It’s a new year and many have already started working on their resolutions for 2025. Often, resolutions have to do with prioritizing health in some way. For many, cutting out (or cutting back) on alcohol is one of their priorities. Enter the month-long no-alcohol challenge. Dry January started in 2013 as a public health initiative in the UK. It is viewed as a great kickstart to healthier habits in the new year after weeks of holiday indulgences.

Recommendations for a successful Dry January suggest replacing beer, wine, and spirits with non-alcoholic drinks such as sparkling water or mocktails. Over the past year, Eric & I have been experimenting with different mocktails. This month, I will be sharing a few of our favorites.

First up is Eric’s current fave. This simple drink combines equal parts of grapefruit juice and ginger beer with a citrus kick from a lime wedge. It couldn’t be simpler to make, and it satisfies the urge to indulge in a refreshing drink at the end of the day.
