One of the best ways to find uses for a liqueur that you bought for one specific recipe is to go to the website of the producer of said item for ideas. Not that I need any ideas for Irish Whiskey; I like it just fine straight up or on the rocks! But many others may not. For a St. Patrick’s Day cocktail post, a drink using Irish Whiskey makes for a better blog!
If you look closely at the pictures accompanying this post you will notice that the brand of Irish Whiskey I used is Bushmills. It is the brand I prefer, as I have visited the distillery in Ireland while visiting that country with my sisters, mother, and daughter back in 2001. But the recipe comes from the Jameson Whiskey website! (True! Good catch if you noticed.) So, why the discrepancy, when I just stated in the first paragraph that I visit the websites of the brands I use? I found this recipe on the internet while searching for uses for a different product that Jameson makes. When I read through this recipe, and I couldn’t pass it up. I am glad I didn’t! Sláinte chugat!
