Grilling Season Continues! Bleu Cheese Stuffed Burgers

Even though Labor Day Weekend is over, it’s not time to put the grills away yet. We’ll be grilling for quite a while here. Two to three feet of snow is about what it takes to prevent us from grilling, but we do try to put the grill away BEFORE the snow gets that high. I think we are good for another few months on that count.

We moved back to New England in the spring of 2011. A freak snow storm on October 29th (Winter Storm Nemo) knocked out our power for almost 9 days. We used the grill in the snow for the duration of the power outage! No repeats of THAT week, please!

Winter Storm Nemo hit on October 30th, 2011 with 28 inches of snow, knocking out power for more than a week.

Winter Storm Nemo hit on October 29th, 2011 with 22+ inches of snow, knocking out power for 8+ days. We brought the grill back out to cook for that week.

Burgers are the quintessential grill food. We don’t do them often but when we do, they are not your average burger. Stuffing them with bleu cheese, makes them moist, flavorful & filling. My sister, Diane, suggested using the Caramelized Onion and Roasted Garlic Jam I gave them in the burgers. That puts a special flavor burst in them. Great suggeston, Diane!
